The cutest blog on the block

I LOVE this website! It has so many cute blog back-grounds and blog accessorizes. I especially love that they have LDS buttons- such as Gordon B. Hinckleys 6 B's, Families are Forever, and I am a Child of God. I first saw this website on a link on Marianne's blog, and now I love It! Its at www.thecutestblogontheblock. Have fun!

I love girl scouts and everything about it! I love my leaders, cookie sales, camp outs, and all the fun activity's we do.
Such as our camping/kayaking trip last year. It was super fun!

Candle making, Cycling, and Carbon Ink

My friend Katie and I made candles. We had a lot of fun. Both of her brothers joined in to! We used real beeswax with old crayon pieces melted in to add color. Also this afternoon, we (me and Katie) biked and unicycled (I was on the bike) around my neighbor-hood. Katie also taught me how to make ink out of carbon, to make it all you do is hold a large METAL (don't use a wooden one) spoon over a candle to collect carbon. You'll know your getting some when the spoon turns black above the flame but don't worry, it comes right off. You may have to experiment with different candles before you get the right effect. when you have collected enough carbon ( the black stuff) then just scrape it off (we used a toothpick) and mix it with about a drop of white school glue. How much you need depends on how much carbon you have. If at first you don't seem to be getting any carbon on your spoon try holding it closer to the flame. Just be careful around the fire! Have fun!

The finished candles. They turned out really nice, the lighting for the picture just wasn't great.
