Insert cat *HERE*

On the floor....

On the windowsill....

Under the couch...

On the kitchen table...

On the dining room table...

In the bathroom sink...

And on the kitchen counter...

Yep, this is our new kitty, and he likes to..... be in places he shouldn't be. I have an unfortunate habit of taking pictures of him when he get on the table, instead of taking him OFF the table....

Ode to Orlando

As some of you may know, my kitty Orlando passed away in June. I thought I would post some picture of him to show you what a pretty cat he was. He also used to make very weird faces, as you can see. We now have a new kitty, named Orlando Too, so I will post some pictures of him soon. I miss you, Orando!

No more Ella the Cat...

The title of this post sounds very depressing. It is because, while we no longer have Ella the cat, we have Orlando the cat. Yes, my cat is a boy, and we thought it was a girl... Funny how that goes sometimes.... :) The poor kitty's first name came from Cinderella, since "she" was all black like cinders, and I liked the name Ella. Orlando comes from a Shakespeare play I was in, called As You Like It. The first time I read the play, it was for class, and I really liked the name Orlando right off. After reading the play, you also can see that the character Orlando is a really good (and extremely funny) person. After I was in the play, I decided that someday I would own a black cat and name him Orlando. Well, I got my wish! I think the name fits my cat well, maybe someday he will respond to it, he never come when I called him Ella!

Cat tree

I have a good friend named Kraig, and for Christmas, he supprised me by making a really cool present. He made me a tree for my cat Ella! It is a really awesome stand, and it is almost as tall as I am. Ella really really loves it, and climbs on it all the time.

Here is Ella (I'm holding her), the new cat tree, Kraig, and I.

Ella looks really funny in this picture!

Here's Ella telling Molly to go away! When Ella is at the top of her tree, she thinks she is Queen of the world, and nobody is allowed to get near her. Its super funny! Thanks Kraig! :)

Molly was helping me roll up my Sleeping bag...

I think this is one of my favorite pictures of Molly, even though she looks like a half starved mangy beast in it and it is a little blury:)

My Fair Froggy (and Tadpoles)

Every Wednesday I take a writing class at a local home school family's house, and yesterday I was a little early. There is another younger kids class right before my class, so while I was waiting I went out side with the family's youngest sister, Hannah. While we were were out side she asked if I wanted to see there hot tub, because they had a lot of tadpoles in it (don't worry, the water was not hot; it only has about 8" of rain water in it) while we were looking at the tadpoles I told her that they were really neat and asked her if we could catch some and if I could bring some home. She said yes, so we had a lot of fun trying to grab some without falling in the water. In the end she and her 10 year brother caught 8 tadpoles and 1 very young frog for me to bring home (I say young frog because it still had a very small tail). (I tried to catch some, I really did, but could never quite get a hold of one) She gave me a jar to keep them in, but when we got home they looked a little crowded so I split them up between two jars. So now, today I tried taking pictures of them, but all of them were pretty blurry. Here are two of the least blurry ones:
The frog's and some of the tadpoles new home. I have not actually been keeping them out side, because I read that if the water gets too hot, the can die.
Flying through the air with the greatest of ease! (More like losing it's balance at the edge of the jar and half jumping, half falling kerplop into the water below: )
One last picture of their new home. (The frog is inside of the green magnifying glass)
