Disneyland (Finally)

As I mentioned on an earlier post, I went to Disneyland with my Girl Scout troop on Monday, spent the night at a hotel Monday night, and then went to California Adventure Park on Tuesday. It was so fun! On Monday we met at my Girl Scout leaders house at about 8:30. We then drove to the hotel we were staying at. The people at the hotel were extremely nice, because they let us put nine people in one room, and they let us park the cars at the hotel all day the second day even after we checked out. We got to Disneyland at about 11am, stayed there all day, and had dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe. It was a fun but busy day! The next day we went to California Adventure park, and had a blast! My favorite ride was California Screaming, it was so fun, but before we went on we were all really, really scared! I kept my hands up the whole TIME! (although, my brother argues that when it went upside down, my hand were down:) Here are some of the pictures from both days below.

Here is my troop right after we arrived at Disneyland. We were all so exited!

The first Disney character we say was Cruella De Vil. She was super funny!

In front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

Eating the treats my super-nice leader bought us.

Alice and the White Rabbit On the Its A Small World ride at Disneyland.

While we were walking around Disneyland we saw Eeyore. (is that how you spell his name?) My Friend Jenna Really likes Eeyore, but there was a long line to get your picture with him, so she said it would be ok if we didn't go see him. But, before we left I asked him (Eeyore) if he would smile for a picture (there was no one in front of him right then) so he was very nice and waved and smiled for a picture! I love you Eeyore!

This a picture of the Ferris wheel at California Adventure. There is a big surprise if you go on one of the special Cars, but I wont tell you!

The last picture. This is me standing on the "L" in California in front of California Adventure Park. I had a lot of fun and I hope you enjoyed my post!

My Fair Froggy (and Tadpoles)

Every Wednesday I take a writing class at a local home school family's house, and yesterday I was a little early. There is another younger kids class right before my class, so while I was waiting I went out side with the family's youngest sister, Hannah. While we were were out side she asked if I wanted to see there hot tub, because they had a lot of tadpoles in it (don't worry, the water was not hot; it only has about 8" of rain water in it) while we were looking at the tadpoles I told her that they were really neat and asked her if we could catch some and if I could bring some home. She said yes, so we had a lot of fun trying to grab some without falling in the water. In the end she and her 10 year brother caught 8 tadpoles and 1 very young frog for me to bring home (I say young frog because it still had a very small tail). (I tried to catch some, I really did, but could never quite get a hold of one) She gave me a jar to keep them in, but when we got home they looked a little crowded so I split them up between two jars. So now, today I tried taking pictures of them, but all of them were pretty blurry. Here are two of the least blurry ones:
The frog's and some of the tadpoles new home. I have not actually been keeping them out side, because I read that if the water gets too hot, the can die.
Flying through the air with the greatest of ease! (More like losing it's balance at the edge of the jar and half jumping, half falling kerplop into the water below: )
One last picture of their new home. (The frog is inside of the green magnifying glass)

My Shakespeare Class and Play

Last week, we did the Shakespeare play that I was in. It was SO FUN! I can't wait to take another Shakespeare class next year. This year we only had 7 kids in my class total, but we did it! The play we did was the Merchant of Venice which is a really funny play. I played the part of Nerissa, Portia's lady in waiting. I had alot of lines, but I memorized all of them.

Here is a picture from last February. When almost all of the kids in my Shakespeare class were able to go on a field trip to the Old Globe theater, in Balboa Park. It was really fun and I learned alot. it was especially fun because my friend Emily (the same Emily as the one in the Easter picture) was able to come also while her family visited us from Washington state.

Here is a picture of my friend Emily and I before the field trip started.

This picture is of Portia (her real name is Elisabeth) and I after the play. I liked wearing the costumes and I really liked my dress, and I thought that every one else's costumes looked nice to, especially Portia's outfits.

Here is the scene with the casket test. It was very funny and Bassanio did a really good job at memorizing all his lines. He had alot!

And here is the last picture of the entire cast. It was tons of fun and I LOVE acting, even though I get so nervous before the play starts. Well it was a fun year and I can't wait to do it again next year!

Easter Sunday 2009

Happy Easter!!! Did you have a good one? I sure did! First I got out of bed at 7:00 am. The first thing I did was look at the tomb I made, which had the stone rolled over and the cloth in the doorway! Then I looked for my Easter Basket, it was on top of our computer table! It had lots of fun (and yummy) stuff in it, like a little stuffed bunny, a pen with a little bunny on the end that lights up when you write, a chocolate bunny, starburst jellybeans, Reece's peanut butter eggs (my favorite!), and lots of other fun stuff. Then we went to church and had a lot of good Easter lesons. My Mom even gave a talk in sacrement meating! After that we went to my Grandma and Grandpa P's house. We had a lot of fun with our cousins. I'm so sad that they're moving to Oregon in June!
Here is a picture of me during the egg hunt. I look kinda funny in this picture, but it was the only one I had. I found 32 eggs! (Only 10 less than I boiled)

Here is a picture with me and all of the cousins that were there. We had a lot of fun and the dinner was really yummy! Happy Easter! I hope you had a good one!

Easter Season

I love Easter, Spring, and every thing about the two. Here some Eastery/Springy things we have been doing this year!
I made this tomb out of salt dough, then I went in our back yard and found some of these beautiful plants! (really, most of them are weeds, but I puled up anything I thought was pretty!)

After seeing this Chick on Martha Stewart, I thought that it was really cute, so I tried making it! I think it turned out really well, but I had to use a few substitutes, such as scrapbook paper instead of patterned cloth. I made this one for my choir director, I hope she likes it!

This is my Easter Basket, which I've had for years since I was little. This year, I rapped the handles of my basket with silk scarves, to make it brighter.

This is a Picture from when I was about 2 1/2 (I'm on the right.) See, I have the same Easter basket! Also in the picture, is one of my best friends, Emily. We are still good Friends.

These are some graphics I made on the computer. I printed them on sticky backed-paper, so now there stickers! Were going to put them in Easter eggs for an Easter Egg hunt at my Grandparents house tomorrow and my Mom might use them for her CTR 5 class. They turned out really cute!

And of course... Easter Egg dyeing! This year we just used the little coloring tablets, but last year we made our own natural dye out of berries, orange peel, and lemon peel.
Here are SOME of the finished eggs. (With out thinking to much, I boiled FORTY-TWO EGGS, plus, the 12 I already had from Girl Scouts.(cheeks blushing.) I think the finished Eggs are really pretty, and we had a lot of fun dying them. Wow, that's 54 eggs! (I just now did the math.) Luckily, I can bring deviled eggs to my Grandparents house!

Cute Potatoes

These Potatoes are SO CUTE! I know, you think I'm crazy for thinking potatoes are cute, but..

when real potatoes are only the size of jelly beans, they are cute!!!

My Mom and my sister were digging in our garden, this is what they found! None of them are more than 2" long! I think that they are all really cute, but these are the smallest and my favorite!
